Ann trained as a general nurse at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and specialised as a post graduate in the RPAH Renal Transplant Unit. Ann later nursed for a short period at a nursing home before becoming involved in the manufacture and retail of domestic seating in 1975. Ann's medical background and the question on how to solve a pressure problem for a family member back in 1978 led to the design and development of Waterchairs.

Twenty years later in 1998 Watercomfort 's foray into the marketing of general health care equipment to nursing homes, hospitals, retirement homes and home care saw Watercomfort's manufacturing arm expand into manual handling and pressure care products specialising in custom sizes.

Watercomfort Company Pty Ltd employs approximately 25 employees in manufacture, sales and service. Australia wide sales are achieved by national distributors, agents and franchisees.

Watercomfort Company welcomes interest from potential clients both within Australia and overseas either as sole distributors, agents, franchisees, and/or manufacturing under licence overseas.

Watercomfort Company is continually researching and developing improvements and new designs of chairs for the institutional and home care market taking OH&S into consideration as a major issue. Watercomfort chairs are demonstrated and trialed by clients to evaluate the most suitable design. In addition to the option of custom design, most of our designs now have interchangeable parts to allow the chair to be altered should the patient's condition change or the chair be used by another client. Watercomfort offer to evaluate old models to upgrade to a more OH&S friendly product.

Watercomfort Company's site represents a glimpse of our extensive ward equipment, rehabilitation and home care range while our AAMK.com.au site is being developed.
